Cos Cob is a thriving, up and coming section of Greenwich; Cos Cob's Main Street (a.ka. The Post Road) offering many new markets; from the local shops and markets;  fish market, cheese shop, coffee, bagel, gelato, pizza, and don't forget the wine shop (more to list, but save that for your visit to Cos Cob. Everything is right here local; including Cos Cob branch library and local post office (06807). Enjoy the Cos Cob Waterfront park that offers jogging trails and playground, plus a memorial tribute to 9/11. There are numerous local yearly events such as the winter festival sponsored by the local community bank (yes Cos Cob has a local bank too) "First Bank of Greenwich" that offers numerous events in Cos Cob.  There is also the scenic community along the Mianus River known as North Mianus; a sub-section of Cos Cob (06807) where people enjoy boating, kayaking/canoeing and ice-skating.  Cos Cob Elementary and Central Middle School District | Commuter's Alert - Cos Cob has it's own train station with parking.
